10 YEARS DIYNAMIC – BERLIN

This year, on the occasion of their ten-year label anniversary, Diynamic will host multiple label parties in different major European cities. What’s exceptional: Two to three clubs will simultaneously play host to all of the label’s artists on each particular night. Therefore, the vast majority of the artists such as Solomun, Adriatique, H.O.S.H., Kollektiv Turmstrasse or Stimming, will play at each of the participating clubs. And for the grand finale, the whole Diynamic Family will come together at one big after hour party.

DIY: A simple idea, rooted in the wish to change the predominant principles and to do something in one’s own way.

Since 10 years now Diynamic – the artist collective surrounding label father Solomun – acts true to this calling. Since 2006 it’s all about releasing, partying, thinking ahead and doing it yourself. Born in the heart of Hamburg’s St. Pauli neighbourhood, now home in virtually every corner of the world.

Actually the beginnings of the DIY-era lie in 2003, when the first own party series of the clique around Solomun commenced in Hamburg. 2006 saw the founding of the music label Diynamic, followed by the opening of infamous EGO club in Hamburg’s red light district St. Pauli in 2009. This was soon succeeded by own Festivals on multiple continents, worldwide Diynamic Showcases and several successful residencies on Ibiza.

So how do you commemorate such a special anniversary? With a substantial birthday party, obviously! Reminiscing of all the wonderful club nights spent in the most exciting metropolises of this world, from intimate little joints to the most renowned venues of night life, makes us wish we wouldn’t have to decide where to celebrate. But who claimed that a party would have to be held at one single club only?

Starting with Berlin on April 9th and gloriously finishing in Hamburg on November 26th, the year 2016 will see many European metropolises taken over by Diynamic and its artists for an extended night each. The artists will take turns at all of the two or three participating clubs of each particular city and afterwards come together at an all day after hour party the following day.

The play times haven’t been decided yet, but what’s certain is that Solomun, H.O.S.H., Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Adriatique and other artists will play three times that weekend: once on Saturday night at Watergate, then another time Saturday night at Ritter Butzke, and then a third time at the after hour at Watergate on Sunday.

Whether you choose to follow your favourite artist around town or stay at your preferred venue or maybe even first join in at the after hour on Sunday, is completely up to you.

Diynamic Festival Amsterdam 2016

And the tradition continues: On Friday, May 27th 2016, now for the fourth year in a row, Diynamic Festival Amsterdam returns to Amsterdamse Bos for its annual label event. A close relationship ties the label to this city and its people, which is why this date is always a special for the whole Diynamic Family, which will attend in its entirety.

Last year has demonstrated why Diynamic keeps returning to the Dutch capitol: Even though Diynamic Festival Amsterdam 2015 has been bothered by some pretty serious rainfall, the people kept on dancing none the less and turned the event into an amazing party. This is what we call true commitment! While we can only hope for good weather, we can always count on the people of Amsterdam, which is why Friday, May 27th 2016 will see the fourth edition of the already traditional Diynamic Festival at Amsterdamse Bos, the city’s nearby forest.

Amsterdamse Bos even holds a new venue in store: Deep within the forest lies the enchanted Land van Bosse, tucked into the Amsterdam forest, still easy to reach by bike or by bus from Amsterdam city centre. The venue will accommodate two stages that will hold performances by the whole Diynamic family including Solomun, Adriatique, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, H.O.S.H., Stimming, Karmon, NTFO, Thyladomid, Magdalena, Ost & Kjex, DJ Phono, Johannes Brecht, Undercatt and Lehar.
The event will start at 12:00h at noon and go on until 23:00h at night.

The finest of Diynamic Music will return to Amsterdam:
– Solomun, who is just taking a break from his 130 shows in the last 10 months
– Stimming, who’s releasing his 4th album in April
– Adriatique, who are about to release an EP on Cityfox and a Diynamic collab-EP with Lehar
– H.O.S.H., who just released a massive remix for Australian band Rüfüs
– Kollektiv Turmstrasse , whose “Sorry I’m Late” was Beatport’s most selling track 2015
– Karmon, who locked himself into his studio for the last weeks to work on some new material
– NTFO, who just released an EP on 20/20Vision’s sublabel, 20/20Editions
– Thyladomid, who is looking ahead to a heavy touring schedule for 2016
– Magdalena , who officially joined the roster in 2014
– Ost & Kjex, who released their “Freedom Wig” album last year
– Dj Phono, who just produced the live show for German band Deichkind
– Johannes Brecht, who will drop his debut album in 2016
– Undercatt, who just released a single on Sasha’s “Last Night On Earth” label
– Lehar recently joined Diynamic as an official family member

Police and international students celebrate world game as Chile takes out the Beach Soccer Tournament title

Police and students have celebrated the world game in an international-themed Beach Soccer Tournament at Coogee, with the Chilean team taking out the title.

The tournament was hosted by Eastern Beaches Local Area Command at Coogee Beach yesterday (Sunday 27 September 2015), and involved teams of police officers and international students from across NSW.

Students, who are studying at schools, TAFE colleges, English language colleges, universities and other educational institutions in NSW, represented their country during the round-robin competition.

The event was proudly sponsored by Study NSW, Department of Premier & Cabinet, and Randwick City Council, while also being supported by Multicultural NSW.

Almost 200 students from Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, India, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, took part in the competition.

The tournament also featured police from Local Area Commands across Sydney, as well as the Hunter and Illawarra.

The day culminated in a nail-biting grand final match between the police team and Chilean team, with Chile taking out the competition 1-0.

Corporate Sponsor for the Safety of International Students, Detective Superintendent Gavin Dengate, said 2015 was the biggest and best tournament police have ever hosted.

“The wet weather certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits, with almost 200 students from more than 37 countries coming together to enjoy the competition,” Det Supt Dengate said.

“Soccer has proven to be a terrific way to interact with students to help them feel welcome and safe in their new community.

“It was great for police officers and students alike to interact with one another, and break down barriers so students know they can come to us if they ever need help,” Det Supt Dengate said.

“It also gives students an informal setting in which to talk to police about their experiences or any challenges they may be facing, so officers are best equipped to understand their needs.

“The community spirit on the sand was phenomenal and there were thousands of people there to cheer on the players throughout the day and during the grand final decider, creating a spectacular atmosphere.

“We really appreciate the support from the local community, as well as the educational institutions, Randwick City Council, event sponsors and local business, all of whom played a part in making the day such a success,” Det Supt Dengate said.

Diynamic Showcase Amsterdam Dance Event 2015 Edition

Diynamic Music will return to Amsterdam on Thursday October 15th for a special Diynamic Showcase: The Amsterdam Dance Event 2015 Edition with the whole Diynamic Family, including Solomun, Adriatique, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, H.O.S.H., Stimming, Karmon, NTFO, Thyladomid, Ost & Kjex, Magdalena, Johannes Brecht, DJ Phono, Undercatt and Roberto Calzetta & Twin Soul, will take place at Mediahaven, a film studio complex with three areas and near perfect acoustics.

The Hamburg based label brings back their annual Diynamic Showcase to Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). It is already a beloved tradition for the Diynamic family to come to the Dutch capital in October; bringing their full artist roster, including long standing figures as well as some fresh faces to add to the mix, so there will be a few premieres at this year’s event. It is always a very special date, to which all artists look forward throughout the whole year: a family reunion, where everyone prepares special sets to showcase the very best they have to offer.

On ADE Thursday, October 15th, Diynamic will be kicking off this year’s ADE events at Loveland’s exclusive venue “Mediahaven”. It is usually a state of the art film studio located at waterfront with a beautiful view of the harbour. Mediahaven is a three-room-connected location with first-class facilities that Diynamic has inaugurated last year, and the 2015 edition will be even more refined. Two modern studios with up to 12-metre high ceilings, designed as an amphitheatre, plus an underground car park in the basement with a very grungy warehouse feel to it. One of the best features of Mediahaven is its brilliant acoustics; enhanced by the lack of any sound restrictions whatsoever you can prepare for an amazing sound experience!

Mediahaven is easy to reach, located nearby the city centre and just ten minutes by bike from Amsterdam central station.

The finest of Diynamic Music will return to Amsterdam:
–      Solomun, who is about to finish his 21 event lasting “Solomun +1” residency at Pacha Ibiza
–      Adriatique, who conquered Ibiza’s heart with their residencies for Circoloco at DC-10 and our very own Diynamic Outdoor events this season
