HOW TO LISTEN ON A MACINTOSH

 

 

 

 

 

If you previously completed MAC first time setup then:

 

Open the VLC player, go to Media > Recent Media and select  the http://www.kaosfm.net/mac.m3u entry.

 

(If you can not see this entry see Step 3. Below)

 

 

 

FIRST TIME SET UP ON A MACINTOSH

 

ITunes will not stream high quality AAC+ audio. This means you will need to manually setup the VLC Media Player to tune in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 1. Download the .dmg file:

Macintosh users can download it safely from HERE.

 

 

Step 2. Install the VLC Application:

When you download the above link, you will end up with a file called something like vlc-1.0.0.dmg. If it has not automatically opened, double-click it, or drop it on the application Disk Copy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

An icon for a mounted drive named VLC will now appear on your Desktop, next to your other drive icon(s).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Open it and drag the VLC application from the resulting window to the place where you want to install it. Most often this is the Applications directory on your main hard drive. VLC is now installed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 3. Open the VLC player and go to Media > Open Network Stream. Type in the Listen URL http://www.kaosfm.net/mac.m3u (you can also copy and paste it). In the future you will also be able to quickly select our listen URL in Media > Recent Media.
